    Truly incredible fish, with perfect texture, balanced flavors. Highly recommend the black cod nigiri. The poached cod in broth was maybe a touch sweet. Great vibe. Great night out.

    Finally an Izakaya in Vancouver! Service was phenomenal, staff are quick and very attentive. We did not wait long to be seated nor did we wait long to be served or to receive our food. Every single individual at Oku were stellar. The food we ordered: Pork Belly Cod Wings Grilled Salmon Karage Premium Sushi Temaki Horse Mackeral All delicious, would recommend.

    Amazing experience with an incredible atmosphere and amazing dishes. All of the staff are so kind and welcoming. every time my partner and I visit Vancouver we make sure to do dinner here one of the nights. Cannot wait until next time!

    The food was really delicious. It was little bit noisy, but ambience was also good. However, even though I had made a reservation, having to wait for 50 minutes for the food was really unpleasant. We only ordered two pieces of sushi and sashimi and, but waiting for 50 minutes was a bit excessive.
