The food was delicious. The figs in the goat cheese carbonara really set it off!! The Brussels and Bacon were good but too many crispy shells and not enough actual brussels. The Shrimp Risotto was delicious but for the price one would think they could give more than 4 shrimp. My biggest complaint however was the service. Felt rushed the entire time, like they needed us out so they could seat more interesting people. There was no line for seating so unsure why we were the only people being rushed. Went for a dinner date and the waiter kept “checking in” that it felt like a threesome. They bought to-go boxes before we even took a bite of our entrees and rushed our check. Willing to try again, maybe it wasn’t there night, but definitely didn’t feel welcomed there.

Went for a girls brunch, the ambience was ok! Not so busy but still very loud. The food was good but definitely pricey! Same for the cocktails and drinks.

Food is excellent - have dined there quite a few times and will continue to go back. The only negative is the noise level. The music tends to be a bit loud.

What a great spot ! We came in to have lunch with our daughter who is away at college and what an incredible lunch we had! The food was amazing, (the arancini were to die for). Our waiter was so attentive. Cannot wait to return.

Food was good. I thought it might be more high end but it was not. I would say the food is mediocre. The basement where the restrooms were was very cold and dirty. The restaurant itself feels like it needs a refresh and it was cold in the restaurant as well.

The place has a real nice vibe. Professionally run for sure. The food was very good and I would definitely return. As a bonus New Haven restaurants will give you a parking voucher so parking in a local garage is absolutely free.

The cocktail menu is eclectic. The diversity of the menu is great you can have small plates, pizzas or full meals. The Carbonara was delightful. The presentation was beautiful, the egg cooked perfectly for introduction into the sauce. One of the best carbonara's I've had. The pizzas are generous for one person, to go is always an option. Desert was great with my favorite Affogato added a shot of Averna and I was in heaven.

Excellent Caesar salad. Meat Lovers pizza was delivered just “warm” so we sent it back for reheating. Once it was heated properly it was delicious. Our server was capable and friendly. Convenient location to local theaters, etc.

It’s beautiful in there, it was my second time dining at olives & oil. This time we went on a friday after Christmas, the decoration, staff, food was amazing. Whether you’re there for a couple of drinks at the bar or seating in there dining section you’ll have a wonderful experience. They pay good attention to allergies and have gluten free options.
