   We’ve always enjoyed going to One Market Restaurant. The food is always good, the service is great, and it’s one of the very few places to dine where the music isn’t too loud!!

   Nice welcome at the entrance. It’s all good and a good place for a fine-dining type experience. The food is good but uneven. The pretentious amuse-bouche with caviar and what not mostly tasted like a tater tot. The fish dishes were complex, refined and original, the meat we tried was hearty and unsophisticated (bit heavy beef cheek). Table service style was a bit detached, bordering on snob. Overall felt like I overpaid. Men’s bathrooms are not well looked after. No hand towels, water all over the floor, smelly… One pays for the location, the reputation and the decor, but I feel they can do better. It seems they are coasting. Big plus: it’s a quiet place.

   First of all, I really like this restaurant, the food is very good. However, on our visit on Valentine's Day we had a bad situation. For a 7 O'clock reservation we were seated promptly but the waiter took his sweet time to greet us. We finally ordered & got our drinks & first course, but then we sat & waited for almost an hour. No check in from the waiter, it looked like he was avoiding us. The food runner finally brought our deserts first!! We had to send it back noting we had not gotten our main courses yet. More waiting, nothing from the waiter. After over an hour I finally flagged down the Maitre'd, Oscar, & explained the situation, we had further reservations at The Dawn Club & we were still waiting on dinner. Oscar verified that we did still want dinner & expedited our meal. It was very stressful, just what you do not want at an expensive dinner. In the end Oscar comped our bill for which I am grateful. I vowed to never return but Oscar saved the day.

   Valentine's day dinner - prix fixe menu with lots of excellent choices for each course. Everything my wife and i ordered had gourmet complexity and were very generous in size. We enjoy the ambience and energy of the restaurant which has a kind of New York restaurant feel. Beautiful space and lighting.

   We came for the Valentines Day pre set tasting menu and were very disappointed. This place has been a go to for my family for years but we were very disappointed with our service and the quality of the food. Not sure if we will be back. For $380 all we could think about was how many amazing meals we could have had elsewhere.

   The food was very good. The restaurant temperature was very cold myself and other customers were putting on our coats and hats during dinner. This wasn’t good since it was a valentine’s dinner and I wanted to look special for the occasion but couldn’t because I had to wear a coat.

    We were celebrating a birthday and our waitress Josephine was wonderful. One member of the party was late and we were never rushed and we had a wonderful afternoon.
