Located in the heart of Toronto's stylish fashion district, Oretta offers a distinct variety of private dining spaces designed to make you feel at home. Our mezzanine floor has two feature rooms; L'attico and Sorrgiorno, which can be used independently or as a whole dependant on your event needs. Our presentation kitchen on a 15 foot long marble top island is the most versatile component of the L'attico private dining space, offering space for a satellite bar or cooking demonstration from one of our Chef's. The Sorrgiorno provides an intimate dining experience with views overlooking the vaulted ceilings of the main dining room.

Your Late Night ticket includes a glass of bubbles at midnight and passed stuzzichini (small bites) until 1am. Standing room only. Last call at 1:45am. Here's a detailed restaurant review based on your experience: ★★ out of 5 Stunning atmosphere can't make up for subpar food and bewildering service at this establishment. The highlight was the tuna crude, which showed genuine culinary skill and excellent execution. Unfortunately, that's where the positives regarding the food end. The calamari was disappointingly ordinary – heavily breaded and reminiscent of basic pub fare rather than what one would expect from a proper restaurant. The real issues began with the pizza, which arrived cold. When we requested it to be reheated, the staff's hesitation was puzzling, claiming they needed the chef's permission for such a basic request. What followed was truly perplexing: upon the pizza's return from reheating, we discovered a missing half-slice. When questioned, the server offered an unconvincing explanation that it "may have fallen off in the oven," followed by an odd statement that they "don't normally reheat pizza" – which begs the question of why they agreed to do so in the first place. The service continued to disappoint when clearing our plates. Despite leaving 80% of the calamari untouched – a clear sign of dissatisfaction – no inquiries were made about our experience or whether we'd like to take the remainder home. While the ambiance was genuinely pleasant, it cannot compensate for the combination of mediocre food and questionable service practices. The missing pizza slice incident, in particular, demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism and transparency. Bottom Line: Despite the inviting atmosphere and the excellent tuna crude, the inconsistent food quality and problematic service make it difficult to recommend this establishment. Will not be returning.

I really enjoyed Oretta after taking my family there for dinner after a Matinee at PWT. The food was excellent and the ambience was great for two adults with two children (6) and (9). The staff was very friendly and made some excellent recommendations for entree and appetizers. My son has a tree nut allergy and the kitchen even offered to make him a modified tiramisu dessert with no hazelnut chocolate. While he opted for the sorbet, I thought that was a really nice gesture. Would recommend and will be back again.

We booked six of us for 6pm after attending a play. Lovely quiet nook near the back of the restaurant. It got noisier when a table for 14 showed up later, but the quality of the food and the staff overcame that. Great time.

The service and the ambiance were fantastic. We were running late because of the usual weekend downtown Toronto traffic and the staff was very accommodating in helping us to push out our reservation time. The wait staff was especially intuitive and attentive, providing seamless, excellent service. Love the look and feel of the place; great place to dress up and go to with friends or on a date night or to celebrate. Note that you'll have to budget on the higher end but it was well worth it. Would highly recommend!

We were a group of nine, but when the main course was served, only eight meals arrived. After waiting about 10 minutes, I had to flag down a staff member, who informed me that one dish had to be re-made. This should have been communicated proactively instead of me having to follow up. Additionally, several guests mentioned their food was cold, and we had to send one dish back to be warmed up. While the food and atmosphere were excellent, it seemed the restaurant was not fully equipped to handle a large group, given the timing issues and cold dishes.

Over priced for the quality of food. Servers were very cold. Ordered the octopus and there wasn’t much on the plate. The calamari appetizer was served with a side of mayo.
