Original Joe’s is the oldest of all existing Joe’s restaurants in the country and is the innovator of what is now nationally known as the “Joe’s Concept”. We love this location of Original Joes. Our custom is to visit one or both of the Fine Art Museums (the De Young and the Legion of Honor) and then enjoy lunch or dinner at Original Joes. Good cocktails, food and service. The bar is busy and loud but so fun if you can find a seat! Cozy fireplace in the bar area as well. We highly recommend Original Joes!

Service was impeccable! Brought visiting guests and everyone loved their food. We ordered the meatballs, lasagna, spicy rigatoni, and eggs Benedict. Not one complaint! You can see why they’ve been in business for so long.

After a 2 hour wait, we finally got seated. It took awhile for our server to come to the table. Food was good. I had my fresh grated cheese poured on me instead of my food, the server dumped it in my lap, I hope it was unintentional. A member in our party had to ask twice for a drink refill. None of us finished our meals, we were asked if we wanted our food boxed up and to take with us, we said yes, we paid the $182 bill but never received our left overs. At this point, we were done!

It seems like there was a hiccup when waiting to be seated and we had to come up multiple times to check in on getting a table. 20 minutes after our reservation checking in the 3rd time we finally got a table.

The caesar salad and pasta marinara with shrimps were excellent and my dinner guest enjoyed the chicken piccata with a side of penne marinara. The server was efficient and courteous. Great service. Wonderful evening
