Welcome to OROSOKO Sound Bar, a South End restaurant and cocktail lounge featuring a unique East vs. West menu, exquisite sound, comfortable acoustics and a team of gracious hosts, passionate in delivering inspired hospitality. This cocktail, or “listening”, lounge offers a unique setting to enjoy craft cocktails and relaxed fine dining from renowned Chef Jay Pound, while immersed in the curated sounds of a skilled DJ on our world-class audio system. There simply is nothing like it.

Indulge in our beautifully crafted signature cocktails, while savoring Asian and Latin inspired tapas-style shareables in a natural environment that exudes sophistication, comfort and luxury.     Tucked away in the corner of OROSOKO, the Shiki Booth is the most extravagant cocktail and dinner setting in all of Charlotte. Accessible only via the DJ booth and appointed with soft, supple leather upholstery, an enormous dimmable chandelier, and a retractable velvet privacy curtain, the Shiki Booth offers our most discerning guests the ultimate in luxury and privacy. OROSOKO is well known for its sound quality. The Shiki Booth takes it to yet another level with its own stereo configuration, complete with sub woofer and volume control. Whether you need a quiet space to close that big deal after work or want to zone in on the vibe the DJ is laying down, the Shiki Booth offers the perfect mix of amenities. Maximum of 6 guests permitted.

    Loved our experience at Orosoko. The vibe, the music, the food, the drinks. Everything was spot on. The music is loud but they’ve done such a good job with the acoustics you can actually hear everyone at your table and still carry on a conversation! The interiors are sexy and sophisticated. The service was top notch! And the food - everything we had was truly delicious highlights for me were the hamachi and Okonomiyaki. Going back next weekend!

    I love it here everytime! Last time I came was on a Thursday and this time on a Monday. I noticed that they played a different genre of music, so I love that they do that so that it’s kind of a different experience each time. I also love how cozy the leather swivel chairs are! This is the place you go to if you want a chill relaxed vibe in a cute atmosphere

    Great spot! Service and food, spot on! The place is small, really small and the music seemed to get louder as dinner progressed. Couldn’t really talk over the Dj but it is a “sound bar” so I enjoyed the vibe, my drinks, and food. Get the pornstar martini and try the hen in the woods!

    The drinks were over priced and didn’t taste good. The pornstar tastes like cough syrup. I didn’t send it back because it took so long and apparently they said they lost the ticket for our drinks so they gave us the drinks for free. It took a long time for our food to come out. The crab egg rolls were different. It was a mushy crab salad wrapped inside a fried spring roll wrap. A weird combination that was not that tasty. The pork belly steam buns were ok. I’ve never had them with watermelon before. The pork belly was thick. The corn fritters were fried balls and really breaded in the middle. The breading was mushy and there was barely any corn. The hen of the woods taco was good though. I could get it again. It was nicely fried. It was the best thing we got. The ambiance was nice. I’m not sure how the DJ was. We didn’t stay long enough for the DJ. It think they said it started at 8:30.

    Fantastic! When you walk in through the giant swinging front door you enter what feels like a NYC high end bar/restaurant. Everything we had was great! Best kept secret in Charlotte!

    The cocktails are good, but are about 2 sips worth of beverage. For being tiny, they took a very long time to get to us. The food is good, but very overpriced even relative to other modern, high-end tapas style restaurants. The waitress at the end of our meal made a passive aggressive comment on my friend’s tip, watching over him as he wrote it down. He tipped a couple dollars / slightly under 20% (it was still a solid tip considering the total bill). The waitress asked him why he didn’t tip a full 20% because apparently she is supposed to confirm if anything was wrong about her service - that’s either a lie, or it’s something that the restaurant does, but certainly should not. If it weren’t for the cool music and atmosphere, I would strongly recommend against going here. If you’re going solely for the culinary experience, and not the nightlife and music, pick a different tapas place.
