6:50 at night, not busy at all, multiple staff hanging around the hostess station. Staff slowly walks around, sauntering. Hostess acknowledged our Ipen Table reservation and the politely asks “Oh and who’s birthday is it”. I smiled and said Donna’s as I gestured to her. She took us to a lovely two-top at a couch. From there we waited 10 minutes for water. The waitress was saying and going through the motions - no energy, no eye contact - just void of welcoming. We ordered an appetizer and two cocktails one the 24ct Old Fashioned with gold cherry.
It took 10 more minutes to get the appetizer (which was presented so well and tasted delicious; however, it took 20 more minutes to get our drinks and by that time we were almost done. We had watched multiple bartenders behind the bar doing nothing but chatting. Our waitress gone in the back and then stood at the bar. Watching the bartender finally get to making the Old Fashioned - man, it must have taken him 10 minutes to make one drink, which was too sweet. I received it and it had no gold cherry. Waitress said yeah they must have run out and walked away. Took another 10 to get our check. Look, decor and view will not make up for poor slow service under poor management. Train , train Train them to treat every customer like gold - whether you ran out or not.
