Oyamel Cocina Mexicana combines Mexico’s rich regional culinary traditions with modern urban fare.     We love Oyamel. The food is amazing. The service was pretty slow but we didn’t mind because we enjoyed the time. It was at least 45 min after our reservation before we were seated and asked for drink orders. It was also loud but a fun environment.

    No paper towels in bathroom. My drink was given to another table and my waitress tried to play it off rather than own up to the mistake.

    We had such a lovely meal! Our waiter was attentive and so kind. We were so touched by their thoughtfulness, especially after finding out we are celebrating rating a birthday weekend. There is a reason Oyamel is our favorite restaurant in the area. Thank you so much!

    One of our favorite places in DC. Tremendous food, great ambience, excellent service but so, so loud. We will always be back but maybe for a late lunch.
