Ozumo is one of San Francisco’s most popular destinations for contemporary Japanese cuisine. Created in 2001, Ozumo was one of the first restaurants to combine sushi and robata cooking under one roof. Its captivating design, by world-renowned Japanese-based Super Potato, continues to delight diners, years after its’ inception. Ozumo introduced chilled, high-quality sake to its’ guests, by curating one of the finest collections from Japan’s most esteemed brewers.

Overall experience was great! Surprised the bar was empty on a Saturday night at 8:30p, turns out everyone was sitting in the dining area. If you want quiet, stay at the bar. Food was delicious, no complaints about any of the items. Great for a date night.

Excellent presentation and quality of all the dishes we sampled… Elegant, knowledgeable and courteous service… Calming and beautiful ambiance… All that one could ask for in a Japanese restaurant …Our first time but definitely not our last… looking forward to our next visit!

One will never be disappointed in the food at Ozumo. The taste, flavor, freshness are always very good, the presentation is a feast for the eyes. The level of personal service is at the next level. It’s our favorite Japanese restaurant.

Overall excellent- our server was great! Attentive, yet unobtrusive. The food was delicious and the dessert, ichigo mousse cake, was outstanding! Thank you for continuing to offer wonderful food, lovely setting and a fantastic server.

I come here all the time, it’s fantastic! The Burikama is always my go-to, but you really can’t go wrong with anything. My husband had the Restaurant Week Ginza Gyu, and it was cooked perfectly. RW is a great deal! Service is always great, and we love coming here.

Ordered the lunch Yaki Udon with salmon, scallops, and shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly and the meal portion was just right. The lychee passion fruit soda was also very refreshing and not too sweet.
