Founded by Chefs Michael Mina and the late Ken Tominaga, of the famed Hana Japanese Restaurant in Sonoma County, PABU Izakaya brings forth a modern take on traditional izakaya-style dining. Now, with Tominaga’s son Keita as Chef/Partner, PABU continues to be a destination for world-class sashimi, sushi, grilled meats from the robata and a seasonal cocktail menu. The restaurant offers the finest locally and globally sourced jet-fresh seafood flown in daily from Japan’s famed Toyosu Market accented by its signature selection of A5 Japanese Wagyu.

Please note: Restaurant Week menu will be offered for reservations between 4:00 – 8:00 pm only

    Pabu continues to be my go-to restaurant when entertaining out-of-town guests. My friends from New York and Los Angeles were just as impressed with their dining experience. The food, the service, and the ambience were all world class!

    The valentine’s dinner set was pretty bad. Hard sushi rice and cheap tasting fish. Surprisingly the wagyu steak was a home-run, very tasty and cery tender.

    The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a special experience, especially JP. Food was amazing, atmosphere was trendy and fun. Great place to celebrate something or go for happy hour.

    Service was extremely delayed and slow, didn’t start drink orders until 25 min after sitting, and the food didn’t arrive at the table for another 25 minutes. Ridiculous. Udon noodles aren’t prepared with any broth options, and the hamachi was very dry. I’ll never return or recommend.
