The Panama Hotel Restaurant is a historic bed & breakfast inn located in San Rafael, CA, midway between SF and California’s wine country. Our on-site restaurant offers food influenced by Latin America, the Mediterranean and California’s wine country. Featuring presentation that is simple, yet stylish—menus are prepared with the finest available organic products and highest quality ingredients from Bay Area purveyors. Beautiful surroundings offer an excellent venue for getaway weekends, weddings, receptions and private events.

I made a reservation for breakfast at 10:30am on Sunday and received confirmation. I drove 40 minutes only find the restaurant was closed. I wish Open Table had notified me. I did find another place and will return to Panama Hotel as I really like the food and atmosphere. I understand these are difficult times.

Had a lovely lunch on the patio with four friends yesterday. Wonderful staff, delicious food, in relaxing, comfortable surroundings. It’s the best!

Sat in the patio, sunny warm day, was delightful. The food was very good, specially the Colcanon and the crab salad. Intend to return so my husband can try the delightful Colcanon.

Well, it has certainly been discovered! Lots of repeat customers and bustling lunch crowd. That’s because it is so comfortable. Pretty quiet. Great menu. Excellent personalized service and good value. It is just the opposite of trendy. Convivial is a good adjective. Lots of personality. I like the fish tacos and the soup and interesting salads

Love The Panama restaurant. It's just a delightful place to spend an evening. The food is delicious, the staff are all courteous and friendly. Good wines, wonderful ambiance. We like to "dine with music." When the restaurant is busy inside, and it often is, the conversation level with the music can be a bit difficult for some people. When the patio is open in warmer weather, dining out there is also lovely. You'll enjoy this place!

Beautiful sunny warm February day to dine on the charming patio with umbrellas. Had the 1/2 avocado filled with crab meat-yummy. Shared the ice cream sundae & coffee, a delightful ending to time shared with a friend. Definitely will return soon.

Charming neighborhood vibe, very good food, nice wine list, welcoming service. Something on the menu for everyone. Excellent value for a moderate tab. We had a great time!
