We requested a table next to window overlooking St. George's Bay. When we arrived the person at the front desk said we had booked a beach table. So advised her that she was incorrect and I can show her my booking. Eventually we was escorted to our table. I ordered Carrot and coriander soup with thyme croutons and shortly afterwards I was given a soup spoon and a fish knife, the latter I thought was strange. The waitress then brought us some bread, however my wife didn't have a side plate, so we requested one, as the waitress never noticed. The soup was a large portion and extremely tasty. My wife order a fish platter which contained shell fishes, however she has to ask twice for a finger bowl to clean her fingers.
For mains i ordered a 300g prime cut USDA black Angus steak. This was probably the worst steak I have tasted. Half the outside of the steak was fatty. Nobody came over to check if we was enjoying the meals (my wife had grilled sea bream which was served with no garnishes). The waitress then came over to take away our plates and said "all good?' So I advised 'no, the steak really fatty', to which she said 'good', and I repeat saying 'no, its not good at all'! Then dhe puts her thumbs up and.says 'good'! My wife put my thumbs down and say no! It's was quite hilarious! Then this waitress refused to come over to us again and we could hear her discussion with her supervisor. Then the supervisor came over and we explained how fatty the steak was and he then called over a manager. The manager then offered us complementary desserts, even though we wasn't going to have any. A new waiter, advised don't have tiramisu, as it's horrible. We both had white chocolate fondant, which I have had the last three visits to the restaurant , which didn't disappoint as it was delightful and delicious as normal.
