   We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Parkers Tavern in the University Arms. The ambience was inspiring and still tranquil, beautiful paintings and decorations and nice views. The service was excellent and attentive and smiling staff. Every course was delicious and great choices. Its a spacious restaurant with high ceiling so not noisy. Overall a fantastic experience !

   The menu from the new chef is excellent, more ambitious and interesting than previously which was not too bad anyway. The specials for Good Friday included Fish Pie Royal which was spectacular; loaded with lobster! We always love our visits to Parker's Tavern; our Cambridge favourite.

   Lovely place with nice ambiance but meals very small and quite expensive, especially the water !

   Amazing food, the staff were so kind and attentive. The afternoon tea was amazing and had a good selection but the portions were a little too big! Thankfully they gave us some boxes to take the scones with us which we enjoyed very much later in the hotel. Would definitely recommend. Had a lovely view of Parker’s Piece.

   Lovely food. Service as usual pretty bad. Staff all lovely but need training. We were shown to table then left alone for 20 minutes. Had to ask for attention

   The ambience and the food were good, but unusually (we have visited several times before), the service was poor - slow, with different diners food arriving at different times (e.g, someone had finished their dessert before another diner’s arrived), drink orders forgotten, and long waits between courses. Not their usual standard of service.

    Took a little too long to come to take out order. Then the order was taken incorrectly so the wrong food was brought out. Staff were apologetic and free drinks plus reduced bill made up for the mistake. The starters were excellent, mains okay. Burger was overdone and therefore quite tough. Ambience was nice, live jazz music from the bar. Service overall very good. It is pricey but I don’t mind that if the food is excellent. It was good, but not excellent. The order mistake can happen and it was rectified quickly. I appreciated the complementary drinks and reduced bill.
