Don't be fooled by all the good reviews. This place felt like an afterthought for a hotel. My wife got the avocado toast, and asked that her eggs be cooked "whites fully cooked, but yolk still a little runny" and a London fog (earl grey tea with frothed milk). I got the biscuits and gravy.
We were given a london fog alcoholic drink, which was a simple mistake, we clarified the request, but the tea that came out was basically warm with a tea bag on the side, the tea really didn't steep well in the milk. Not the worst thing, but a little annoying.
The real problem was that her eggs came out with the whites still a bit under cooked, and it took us a good few minutes to find the server to ask for them to be cooked a little more. The server said they needed to ask the kitchen if she should take back the whole plate, or just the eggs. This question took quite a while for the server to say they are going to cooke new eggs. This would've been a good option if the server had done a table touch within a short time after the food was served, but by the time the eggs came out, the rest of my wifes food was cold.
While the biscuits and gravy weren't terrible, the only flavor was in the gravy. The biscuits were very dry and a little hard, and the breakfast potatoes tasted almost unseasoned, and also pretty dry and overcooked.
I'll tell you what though, they know how to cook scramble eggs (just not season them).
Very lackluster given all the good reviews we read.
