We have a very quiet dinner and the food was good. Some dishes stood out and others were decent but not exceptional. The carbonara was perfection, the cacao e Pepe was ok but a bit too heavy and oily instead of cheesy. The sauce didn’t stick to the pasta due to being oily. Seems it broke and separated. The eggplant app was fantastic and the calamari was also done very nicely with the right balance of red sauce acid. The corn truffle ravioli was also quite delicious and done perfectly.
The interesting thing was that I read several comments about the weight staff being the miss at this restaurant. When we died, they were only two tables in the restaurant. The first thing I will say is that there were several mistakes and taking the order, determining if an item had pork or shellfish in it, and then subsequently placing the order with timing where people’s dishes came out together. Additionally, I ordered a side of meatballs with my main plate, which also never came out to the table. The good thing was, they didn’t accidentally put them on the bill either. The weight staff was super friendly very kind and we enjoyed our dinner. But I will say that for being completely empty the weight staff spent most of the time talking and not really focusing on our needs as guests. I hate to even say it because they were so kind and so fun to talk to when they were with us, but it’s the little details like paying attention to orders for allergies and food restrictions and making sure that plates come at the same time for guests to enjoy a dinner together. My niece had to wait for her appetizer for five minutes after we were already done eating our appetizer almost and then when dinner plates came hers again was the last to arrive after we already had our plates and we had to sit and wait for a few minutes to start when her food arrived. Other than that, I say go because the food is fantastic and the people are very nice!
