Peck & Plume — a nod to the restaurant’s view of the forthcoming Downtown Cary Park and its avian inhabitants — is a polished yet casual restaurant offering a menu of modern American classics taking inspiration from our southern surroundings. Whether diners want a peck of plates to share with friends or the plume of a special occasion dinner, Peck & Plume is open six days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The bar program focuses on premium cocktails, approachable wines and North Carolina craft beers.

    Join us for a Thanksgiving buffet at Peck & Plume on Thursday, November 28. Enjoy a feast of Thanksgiving favorites like Chef-Carved Roasted Turkey, Smoked Ham with cherry glaze, Salmon Filet with maple butter, Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes, Fresh Sage Stuffing, Creamed Corn Pudding, a Colossal Dessert Display, and much more. Our Thanksgiving buffet is $70 per adult and $29 per child under 12. It will be served beginning at 11am with our last seating at 3pm.

    Santa Claus is coming to The Mayton! Make a reservation to join us for brunch on Sunday, December 8th from 10:00am - 2:00pm, and as a special holiday treat, all brunch guests will enjoy a complimentary visit and photos with Santa in our cozy Study. Bring the family to enjoy Peck & Plume's a la carte brunch menu with kid-friendly dishes like Chicken & Waffles, French Toast, and more. This event is only available to guests with a brunch reservation. Attendees will be responsible for taking their own photos.

    Join Tricia from Darlin’ Designs Baking Co. on Monday, December 16th at 6:30 pm to decorate showstopping holiday cookies at The Mayton. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and get hands-on instruction to decorate your cookies. Your ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine, 6 cookies to decorate, icing, and a box to take your cookies home in and show off. Tickets are $60 per person.

                        We had a wonderful experience! Tristen was our server and did a spectacular job. He even showed us a magic trick during our time. We ordered the Pork & Pimento cheese dip, Bone-In Short Rib, and the NY Strip steak. All three items were delicious. We will definitely be returning!

                        This a tough one. Don't get me wrong. The food was very good. The wait staff, specifically Gracie, made the night better than where it was going. Drinks and apps came quickly. Dessert came quickly. But the Superbowl halftime show wait for the entrees was inexcusable. What happened to the kitchen staff making the mains? Did they go on break for 30 minutes? The entire dining room and outdoor patio was wondering if they needed to leave. My son and I were just spending the night in Raleigh to continue our drive north to NJ the next morning. I reserved this place weeks ago for us to have a comfortable dinner after a long day's journey not knowing this was going to make us even more tired by dinner's end. Drinks were great. Fried Green tomatoes were amazing. Chicken Noodle soup portion was a coffee cup's worth spread out over a large flat bowl which made it luke warm and colder than it should have been. That was disappointing. Don't ever do that to your guests again. That was offensive. Trout was great. NY Strip was great. Apple Tart and Chocolate Sin were delicious. But get that coffee machine fixed. Something warm is meant to go with dessert. Restaurant's savior was Gracie. Thank you for taking on a tough night and salvaging a potential train wreck.

                        Terrific service. Our server noticed when our coffee was getting cold and brought new mugs. I usually have to beg for coffee warmups in other restaurants. I had the salad with wonderful salmon on top. Dined with 3 friends, and everyone praised their food.

                        Food was pretty good. Seemed understaffed though. Took 45 mins before our server acknowledged us and took our drinks/food order. It was pretty noisy (maybe because they were so busy?) it was hard to hold a conversation across the large table we were seated at. It may have been because we were there on a holiday (Veterans day) that it was so busy. We will probably be back. Just not on a busy evening.

                        Justin took fantastic care of us. We sat in the library for brunch and enjoyed a wonderful experience from start to finish. Will definitely be back!!

                        We enjoyed our family gathering for Saturday brunch celebrating my mother’s birthday. Food and service were top notch. Reservations were easily done online and management was ready for us once we showed to the restaurant. Thanks.
