Enjoy a fresh take on fine-dining at Perspectives — Brookstreet’s award-winning Ottawa restaurant. The contemporary cuisine of our culinary team features fresh, seasonal ingredients from across Ontario create exceptional dishes that are totally unique to Perspectives & Options Jazz Lounge.

In an effort to maintain a relaxing and safe environment for you, the following policies have been implemented based on government restrictions:

-All persons must wear a mask that securely covers the nose, mouth, and chin at all times except when eating or drinking
-We are taking all needed precautions to ensure proper sanitizing and cleaning occurs through service periods
-We kindly request you to practice social distancing when visiting
-Reservations are recommended however, walk-ins are welcome based on availability

    Delicious vegetarian option, including gluten free and vegan desserts. Clean tables and very friendly staff. Comfortable seating.

    We ordered the steak it was hard, the dynamite sushi was ok except the avocado was brown !The singer was horrible .

    Dinner was nice and flavourful. It was our anniversary so we received complimentary champagne. My steak was slightly overcooked except for a small spot in the middle which was perfect. Very little fat. We ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts and never received it nor was it on the bill. Don’t know if it was forgot or taken off before payment when the realization happened. Overall it was nice.

    Our food was delicious! I had the braised short ribs, my husband had the steak and my daughter had the ravioli. The Brie appetizer was also yummy. We were meeting friends for dinner and booked at Perspectives. It was a nice, quiet, comfortable space to converse.

    Very disappointed with the ambiance and service. The old fashioned tasted watered down told the waiter and tried a second which was barely better. The booth we had was very nice but a high traffic location with alot of staff going by constantly to serve food to the bar. The bar had entertainment which made it very loud in the restaurant. The food was ok, we were never given an opportunity to order wine with dinner and when commenting on the dissatisfaction the response was not much more than a shrug of the shoulders and a weak sorry. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday night and that should have been a red flag.

    The ambience was great. Service was ok but the food was a bit disappointing. I ordered the cauliflower bites and a chicken sandwich. The cauliflower bites were tasty quite oily. The sandwich chicken had too much coating and somehow, the bread was really soggy at the bottom. I could come back for the ambience and live jazz but not for the food. My partner had the steak and that was at best average as well. His mocktail was super packed with ice and there was barely anything to drink. This would be more for drinks and ambience for me next time.
