Enjoy a fresh take on fine-dining at Perspectives — Brookstreet’s award-winning Ottawa restaurant. The contemporary cuisine of our culinary team features fresh, seasonal ingredients from across Ontario create exceptional dishes that are totally unique to Perspectives & Options Jazz Lounge.

In an effort to maintain a relaxing and safe environment for you, the following policies have been implemented based on government restrictions:

-All persons must wear a mask that securely covers the nose, mouth, and chin at all times except when eating or drinking
-We are taking all needed precautions to ensure proper sanitizing and cleaning occurs through service periods
-We kindly request you to practice social distancing when visiting
-Reservations are recommended however, walk-ins are welcome based on availability

    The experience was amazing at the jazz lounge. A great selection of menu options accompanied by live music ! Definitely recommend for a date night / fancy night out.

    I have had some amazing sushi at Options in the past - this time however was super disappointing. I ordered the Tuna Tataki which was my favourite - usually just melts in your melt. It was delivered looking almost like beef. It was brown. Unfortunately I was so hungry at the time I ate it anyways. It tasted like nothing.

    The food was good, unfortunately we were seated far from the band but it was still listenable and they had to put a round and square table together to fit our party. The food was very good, especially the chicken wings and Brie plate, the brookstreet burger was also good. I will be back.

    My wife and I had a New Years dinner at the Perspective Restaurant on Dec 31, 2024. We chose this restaurant expecting a 5-star culinary experience but we were disappointing for these reasons: - slow service - it took the waiter 30 min to take our order for drinks - poor food quality - first course was dry, the tuna was tasteless as if it wasn't fresh - main course steaks - I ordered a medium steak which was dry and not fresh, it was as if it was prepared two hours ago and left below a heating lamp to be served - desert - bland - I ordered chicken wings for my daughter which arrived dry as the Saharan desert, and they cost $20. In the end I paid $475 for three people which does not justify this outing. When I pay such an amount and go to 5-star hotel restaurant my expectation is to come away with a memorable and enjoyable culinary experience with exceptional service and unique food experience, but in the end, I left feeling like I was just fed. If that would have been the goal of my evening I might have just gone to McDonald's, at least there my expectation of poor food would have been met.

    Food was very good except for the Granita (palate cleanser which was awful) and the kitchen seemed somewhat disorganized as the wrong meals were brought to several different tables. Noise levels very high - we had to change tables to avoid hockey fan racket. Our table was under an air vent and my wife had to wear her coat during dinner. Although a five course meal was served - the food quantity was absolutely minimal for each course and, in my opinion, didn't warrant a charge of $169.00/person. Wine choice quite limited - all in all, we won't be dining there again.
