Opened in 1887, Peter Luger Steak House has become a culinary, historical and cultural landmark in the heart of Williamsburg. Serving only the finest USDA Prime Beef, Peter Luger has been honored with numerous awards for over 30 years including America’s Best Steak. The restaurant is family owned and operated, and all beef is hand-selected by a member of the family before being dry-aged on site.

Menu is basically prefix when it comes to cut of steak. You either order steak for 1-4 people. You do not get to chose your cut. Maybe it’s just me but depending on my mood my cut of beef may vary and not being able to select what I want takes away from the dining experience. We had the bacon for appetizer and it lacked flavor, had to drench it in Peter Luger steak sauce just to get some flavor. The steak was prepared nicely and perfect to temperature. Baked potato was good as well. This was just not a memorable dining experience and one that I would go back to let alone recommend to friends.

Steak was delicious! Bread was disapponting. We were given solid/frozen butter with room temperature bread. It would have been better if the bread was warm or the butter was room temperature for easy spreading. Our table setting could have been better. The table was so small that it only has room for our steak and plates, nothing else.

This is one to skip — lots of hype. We have had reservation for weeks. we dressed appropriately for a nice restaurant and we arrived early they seated us late. First hostess took us to a dirty table then she had us leave the restaurant and stand out front again - when they brought us back in to the same table in the bar - i asked to be in the dining room — she couldn’t change—- it was so loud in the “lounge” (they called it but it is just tables in a bar) we had a hard time hearing each other. An overtime football game and the screaming fans ruined any chance of enjoying the restaurant. Our assistant waiter did a good job. The lead waitress never talked to us or made a stop at the table only her name appeared on our ticket. Appetizers were outstanding but main course was a miss. It was over cooked & over salted . With so many great steakhouses close by this will be our last visit. If you find yourself at Caesars looking for steakhouse consider Joe’s Prime because this one isn’t worth the hassle or price !!

Food was underwhelming and took more than an hour to arrive. The order was wrong once it arrived. The waitress was kind but rarely appeared and would not make eye contact when she whisked by. Overall, save your money for any other steak place.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at both this location and the original in Brooklyn, NY. I just don’t feel the quality is the same. Of course the bacon appetizer was great. I did not feel the wedge salad was special. The steaks were somewhat overdone as we ordered medium rare. The strudel did not taste fresh to me and most everybody in my party agreed. We did like the cheesecake and especially the Schlag. This was close to a $900 meal. I think they need to have a tighter control on consistency

We truly enjoyed our dinner. We’ve dined in the original Brooklyn location in New York, and our dinner at this location was truly delicious. From the drinks all the way to the meat, it was amazing. We will definitely be going back.
