Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. They have a range of freshly made juices and also Vietnamese beers and a large wine and cocktail list. Pho’s menu is 40% vegan and nearly entirely gluten-free too. They also have an accessible kids’ menu where children can get a meal and a drink for £5.95

    We have been to the Lothian Rd branch and really liked it, so decided to try the St James one as well. This one was quite different - very crowded, small tables and loud music. The waiters seemed very busy and seemed to ignore us the majority of the time. Even though we have booked the table, there was no one there to greet and seat us at the front of the restaurant. The food was alright but we have decided to opt out for a local Vietnamese restaurant next time.

    First time at this restaurant and will be back. The only thing I could fault was that it seemed that they were understaffed and it took a while to get the food ( which was superb). This wouldn’t have mattered so much but we had a further reservation 2 hrs after our booking at Pho which we thought would’ve been enough time for 2 courses but we were over 2 hours in total and had to leave in quite a rush. But the waitress was lovely but very busy ( hence it was felt they were understaffed) .

    Nice restaurant, very busy. Good staff. Wouldn't bother with the white wine spritzer though, just tasted like water. Apart from that everything else good.

    Food very tasty - 2 of our party had the rice noodle soup and 1 had the rice bowl 😀. Server very helpful about food choices. Would recommend and return.
