Located on King Street in the centre of Reading, Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. They have a range of freshly made juices and also Vietnamese beers and a large wine and cocktail list. Pho’s menu is 40% vegan and nearly entirely gluten-free too. They also have an accessible kids’ menu where children can get a meal and a drink for £5.50

    Overall, a good experience. Starters (veg spring rolls, squid) were very tasty. Main courses (rice bowl with chicken, classic chicken curry) were also fine, though the latter had a rather cloying sauce. Service was excellent: prompt, efficient, friendly. The music was a downside for us, making a noisy place even noisier, and becoming rather wearing

    Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and very filling and tasty. I loved the sriracha hot sauce but the kids weren't so keen

    Very good food, exciting flavours and nicely presented. For my party, which included people who use hearing aids, the background music was too loud and made conversation difficult for all, leaving some isolated from the chat. There was also a misunderstanding regarding 2 dishes we thought we’d ordered as starters but were apparently salads that came out with the mains, so 2 of us watched hungrily whilst the others had their spring rolls etc. But we will be back on account of the food itself, which was fab!
