Surrounded by Cheshire countryside but within striking distance of both Warrington and Manchester, Stockton Heath is the perfect Cheshire village. Stockton Heath is home to great pubs, bars, and independent shops. It was also the first village in the UK to be awarded a Purple Flag award to highlight its excellent hospitality standards in bars, pubs and restaurants. So it stands to reason that Stockton Heath is home to one of the area’s best Italian restaurants, Piccolino.
Piccolino, an authentic Italian Restaurant, is a proud fixture of the Stockton Heath dining scene. Located in Victoria Square, Piccolino boasts an open kitchen, cocktail bar and substantial alfresco terrace.
We visit the regions, meet the producers and are committed to sourcing the best quality ingredients. At Piccolino, passion for provenance is at the forefront of our menu, which incorporates the best and freshest seasonal produce, Italian cheeses, meat and seafood, all delivering pure classic Italian flavours.

Overall experience was really good especially the waiting service always attentive. Price of food was a bit pricey but expected.

Party size of 4: 1 of meals came 20 mins after the others 1 of meals was wrong steak Lasagne wasn’t in stock Mains took 45 mins after starters

Really nice food but the plates were cold and I had to ask for the chips that were meant to come with my main meal. Service was a bit slow and they also gave me wife a different cocktail to what she’d asked for !

We came for my wife’s birthday and everything was excellent. We are over visiting from Texas, though i am Stockton Heath born and bred. Had a blast and we will come again the next time we are over!

Fantastic NYE evening, amazing food, quality drinks, customer service and hospitality master class from Vlad, Pedro and Daisy. It was extremely busy and they provided a wonderful experience. Highly recommend all to all.

We booked a table for a large group booking for an 8 year olds birthday. Prior to arriving we were not made aware that for NYE only they would be running a special reduced menu, the options were limited especially for two diners who follow a vegan diet, there wasn’t actually any vegan dishes on the menu at all. I felt there wasn’t a lot of choice even for the rest of our group. We were seated in the newly refurbished area which aesthetically was lovely. However, was very cold each time the door to the staff area was opened, aswell as a strong smell of cigarette smoke which I could not establish where it was coming from. We were so disappointed, we have booked piccolinos every year on NYE for the past couple of years aswell as visits throughout the year & have always left really happy, we were surprised at how poor this evening was. Sadly, we won’t be returning here again & will be booking somewhere else.
