Thanksgiving at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa is filled with activity. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Grand Buffet at PIKO! Our Executive Chef and culinary team will bring the joys of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner along with dishes from the sea and comfort food accompaniments. Our Grand Buffet includes assorted starter displays. For the mains we present the classic roasted herb turkey and roasted prime rib au jus, with green bean casserole, roasted sweet potatoes, grandma’s cornbread sage stuffing, amongst other classics. Finishing with traditional seasonal pies and warm apple cobbler. Leave the stress of meal prep and clean-up behind and join us for a delightful and delicious holiday meal with family, friends, and live entertainment.

Wonderful location overlooking the pool area with the sunset in the background. Very nice menu with daily specials. The Oktoberfest Special was outstanding—the kitchen is certainly versed in international cuisine. Service was excellent and friendly, paying attention to our dietary needs, and the live Hawaiian entertainment added the little extra to the dinner. Highly recommend.

The October Fest proved to be a great choice for all 5 in our party leaving us thoroughly satisfied. The dessert was a warm apple filled pastry, complemented by a delicious vanilla cream sauce. The crispy pork shone in both texture and flavor, providing a delightful crunch that paired beautifully with the smooth mashed potatoes. The sauerkraut like purple cabbage, brought out the best in the pork. The German salad had a tangy mustard vinaigrette that brought together the salty German sausage and cheese in perfect harmony. Our meal was topped off with a first-time tasting of the raspberry German wine, Himbergeist. Its distinctive flavor was unlike anything we had tried before. Overall, our October Fest experience was exceptional. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

The music and hula were below the standard we expected from a hotel that also hosts a Hawaiian Cultural Center.

They don’t start seating until 5:30 so did not accept our 5:15 OpenTable reservation. After waiting to be seated our food was either cold in the center or overcooked terribly.

The sashimi appetiser was terrible, fish was not fresh and the ogo and sea asparagus on top tasted like low tide. The ribeye was cooked properly but maybe only an inch thick and very chewy. Drinks were pretty good but everything was way over priced for the quality. There is zero ambience, in the restaurant, it just felt like we were eating in a big open room with other people

Very relaxing, view is calming & our waiter; Conrad was exceptional. We all had salads, which were very good & the taro rolls are delicious. I do wish they would put Rosemary planters around to keep flies away. Open air dining does lead to some pesky uninvited quest.

Our waitress Marie was so sweet and kind. Overall the ambiance was calm and peaceful. Our meals were AMAZING. We got the Ribeye and the special which was Mahi Mahi. Portions were perfect and the meals were so delicious. Overall this is a hidden little gem and we will be back. My parents are locals and live down the street so we are grateful to have such a delicious restaurant so close!
