Under Chef David Lee, PLANTA is dining as it should be – an unguilty pleasure. Created in 2016, PLANTA is a celebration of delicious and innovative plant-based cuisine served in a beautifully-designed space, without pretension and with an overflow of good vibes. PLANTA South Beach features signatures like Ahi Watermelon Nigiri and Bang Bang Broccoli while expanding plant-powered horizons with ceviche, pizzas, sustainably-crafted cocktails, and more. I’m pescatarian, but my friend is vegan. Sometimes dining at restaurants that exclusively meet her diet, I’m ill-impressed at the taste/texture of the food. PLANTA is a clear exception as their food is incredibly tasty, and I would think would please most anyone (who isn’t determined to bite into a juicy piece of beef😉).

The South Beach location was the best Planta location in North America we have visited. The service was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, free to point us in the right directions. Food was extremely tasty, well prepared and seasoned perfectly. The drinks, while interesting inspirations, were a tad light on alcohol, prompted us to order a few more than probably usual or necessary.

Always a great experience here. Bang bang broccoli and any sushi dishes are a standout. We pay homage to this restaurant every time we visit Miami Beach.

One of our favorite spots! I must say, I am not a fan of change, and they are constantly evolving and changing their menu. The last time we went, we loved all the new food, but we really did miss some of the signature dishes but tonight we were completely blown away. Every single thing we ate was one more amazing than the next. There is no other vegan restaurant anywhere within the United States that I could say compares. I travel a lot. I’ve frequent many of the PLANTA and PLANTA queen restaurants they’re always Amazing but I just wish they would keep some of their signature dishes. This will forever be our number one healthy spot to eat because you will never find a vegan restaurant that actually tastes NOT like a vegan restaurant besides Planta. Example I took my daughter here and ordered for her and she no clue she was not eating fish. That’s how good it is 😉

My husband and I dined at PLANTA Miami a year ago and really liked it. (We've also been to the one in Nyc.) We returned last week with our teen children to a much changed place. The former bustling vibe was replaced by lackluster service, fairly empty dining room, and shoddy furniture and peeling paint. The food was still great, but the service was off. They brought our entrees out in two sets without asking how we'd be sharing. They offered no insight as to how to order (it was brought out pasta then pizza, when we hadn't planned on sharing - but would have ordered differently if that was the delivery.) Waiter was often no where to be found. Furniture looked like it was from a nightclub - ripped peeling vinyl. Gross. Weeds along front of restaurant with peeling paint.
