After being several times before this time was very different food just warm beef was very thin and tough to cut gravy was watery and tasteless veg was not the best nothing had much taste. Previously our experiences had been exceptionally good this is why we returned but unfortunately we wont be returning again as it was a complete waste of money. I did ask if they had a new chief which they did.

We were made very welcome for Sunday lunch. The food was tasty and plentiful, a large bowl of creamy cauliflower cheese and another containing a medley of vegetables. The pork and gammon combo was excellent. The beef and lamb were tasty but a little more difficult to chew! The service wasn't the fastest, but was very amiable and accommodating and I felt was worth the wait. All in all a pleasurable experience for Sunday lunch. We would return!

Very Good Sunday lunch at the Plough inn Wreay we’ve been a few times now and ever time has been as good as the last. Sunday lunch is the best we’ve ever had to date and is worth every penny. Nice to see a new addition of a park for kids which our daughter enjoyed using while waiting on our food. The outdoor area will be nice on a sun day making the most of the weather, staff are always friendly and efficient can’t wait to return for an evening meal very soon. Keep up the great work we travel over 40mins to come to you have recommended you to our friends and family.

Second time visiting The Plough Inn, this time with the dog, both times were incredible, a proper little pub! Great ambience, extremely friendly staff, great service and the food.. wow! Overly generous portions and everything has that home made feel, absolutely delicious! I think we will definitely be regulars now :)

We had all of the Sunday dinners on offer and all were found to be highly enjoyable, supported by plentiful Al dente veg and plenty of tasty gravy. Great service, good value all round. To be repeated.

What a gem to be found. Some of the best food in the UK without paying a fortune. It’s good we don’t live in the village or we would be at The Plough on a weekly basis! Amazing place.
