A modern-American dining experience in the heart of historic Lancaster City, Plough pays homage to Lancaster’s rich heritage while embracing modernity. Chef Ryan McQuillan’s creatively prepared dishes incorporate local ingredients sourced from the region’s lush farmlands and oldest running Farmers’ Market in the country. Our waiter Sherryl made it a pleasant experience. Never felt like we had to wait to order, always asking did we need anything, very informative about the menu choices and added the humor and smile needed to make anyone feel comfortable and wait with great anticipation of what is coming. Wonderful first experience here at The Plough.

We had a wonderful experience! We went for our anniversary. They were ready immediately for our reservation and attended to us with wonderful service the whole time. Our server Cam was friendly and also noticed every time we needed anything at all without us even asking. Food was excellent! Pork chop & chicken were divine, and the whipped feta appetizer was a fun and unique taste we enjoyed.

The food here is absolutely outstanding! Along with the friendly, welcoming service and the cozy, but classy ambiance this dining experience was one of the best I’ve ever had! I will for sure be back in the very near future.

Stuart, our server was on point. He was easy going and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made our special night out of the year just that much better. The meal choices were both wonderful. Not the crazy proportions some restaurants have to plate to make you feel you get your money worth.

Enjoyed the tuna tartare and the bacon cheese tart. Sirloin steak was tasty but a little tough.

The ambiance and service was EXCELLENT. The food was basic. The crab soup was pretty much cheese smothered crab pieces and the cauliflower pasta had too much cheese. I don’t like when chefs use cheese to substitute flavor in place of actual seasoning.

The Thanksgiving dinner here was absolutely fabulous. Although the service left a bit to be desired, I have eaten all over the world and have to say true kudos to the chef as the meal was so scrumptious it reached every metric one would have for the tastes associated with this festive meal, a kaleidoscope of flavors, colors and textures! Bravo!

Fabulous service from our server, and the food was outstanding. We drive down from Harrisburg all the time to Lancaster's cream-of-the-crop restaurants. Plough is definitely Lancaster's best kept secret.
