PlumpJack Cafe is widely regarded as Lake Tahoe's premier dining destination. Fine dining and exceptional wines are in our heritage, and we'd love to share our passion with you on your next visit. We offer a complete and unique menu that is sure to satisfy you after a long day in the mountains.
PlumpJack Cafe & Bar hours of operation are Thursday-Monday from 4-9pm. The Bar will be open at 4:00pm for drinks & cocktails, followed by our full dinner menu from 5-9pm. Please note that we may be closed on select dates for special events. Please call 530.583.1578 or check plumpjackcafe.com for the most up to date hours.

                                      We arrived exactly at 7:30pm, a reservation we made weeks in advance. When we checked in we were told they were in the midst of cleaning our table. After 20 minutes, my husband walked in and there were no tables open. They lied to us. We ended up in the hallway ordering from the bar.

                                      Wonderful ambiance, service staff. Menu was a bit limited - there were only 4 or 5 mains and were either a pasta or very pricy meat dish like duck or a large steak we weren’t interested in.

                                      We had a lovely time celebrating my birthday at Plumjack. The service was good , nothing extraordinary but professional, it was a pretty quiet service The food was delicious, lobster bisque was very flavorful and the squash kale salad equally delicious. Compliments to the culinary team Butternut squash alfredo and stuffed quail followed and were both well prepared and beautifully presented. Nice wine list with a very good selection to choose from. We had a great time overall and enjoyed our evening I did mention on my reservation that we were there to celebrate a birthday and it was totally ignored. No big deal , i am not there for the freebies, but a simple Happy Birthday would have made the evening extra special . if you are in the Tahoe area , i recommend

                                      Neither the food nor the service was acceptable. The young man filling water glasses was the only employee that cared we were there. I have had better steaks at the Waffle House. Caesar salad and lobster bisque soup were good. Bathrooms smelled terrible.
