Poeta is nestled within The Frances Modern Inn located on historic 11th street, just minutes from downtown.
Locally created and operated by award winning chefs, this neighborhood establishment welcomes everyone to partake in a meal, drinks, or dessert all day with breakfast, lunch or dinner, and enjoy daily happy hour.

The service was excellent, they were very busy and anticipated delays and brought out a salad to bide the time. Other than the host, everyone was so helpful and attentive!

The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was creative and delicious. Only complaint was our table. Circular booth directly to the right when entering the dining area. We sat very close to one another on one edge of the semicircle. If we sat in the middle of the table we were staring directly at the couple next to us. Very uncomfortable. If you sat one on each end of the semicircle you were too far apart to have a conversation. Would definitely request a different table next time.

Cute place. Gave a circa 1920's Italy vibe. A little disappointed they were out of gluten free pasta, which was one of the main reasons going- the opportunity to have GF pasta- and it was a Saturday night, so didn't feel they were prepared. We were not there late, so running out shouldn't have been the issue. I then had to choose a dish I would have normally not chosen because my second choice, since I couldn't have pasta, was not gluten free. Service was ok- nice server- but a little too attentive. We were there for my husband's birthday and the server came to our table too often asking if we were ready to order. Felt rushed for an evening we wanted to savor. Overall the ambience and food we had was good- my husband did enjoy his meal- and would be willing to try again, hoping our experience will be better.

Poeta is a cool fun place with great service and food. We were not just greeted but assisted by the hostess, who helped us move our reservation inside. Drinks and wine and food all great. We were able to dine and hang out with friends for over 2 hours. Fun time!

We had a wonderful dinner! We appreciated that it was quiet enough for conversation! The restaurant is beautiful! We sampled a little of everything & it was all great! Highly recommend the frissee & potato salad! And the arancini balls were so yummy! We all tried a different pasta & all were delicious! Great service!
