    The food was good. The service was not very good. It was slow and not very attentive. The room did not have a good ambiance and there were many tables with young children.

    Ponto Lago, located in the stunningly appealing Park Hyatt Aviara hotel in Carlsbad, California, is a destination / bucket list restaurant in which to dine in the coastal region of North San Diego County. See my review when we dined at Ponto Lago on October 25, 2023.

    Lovely greeting, music too loud, Tyler helpful in choosing wine, salad not served first, came right before main, whole fish left w/o being split for 2 by server and no utensils to serve it. Probably won’t return!

    Have been to Ponto Lago for Sunday brunch twice and really enjoyed their buffet - fresh salads and fruit, multiple warm dishes, and a really nice selection of deserts! Service is great as well.
