Located in West Seattle since 2023, Portage Bay Cafe has a mission of local, organic and sustainable fare.     Food was great. Service was great. Had made a reservation so was seated right away. It was a weekday and we arrived at 11 AM. Soon after we were seated, the noise level was so high that my friend and I could not hear each other, not a word. Being that it was close to one and a half hours until served, it was not a great experience.

    We have eaten at almost all of the Portage Bay restaurants, and they're unmatched with the level of service, the delicious food (and generous portions). We highly recommend!

    Got the special - a fall vegetable hash with turkey and mushroom sauce. I hope they keep it for the winter! Hearty and filling. We went when it first opened for a quieter meal, because the space is a bit echo-y.

    Excellent choice for diners who want a hanging' special breakfast with several innovative benedict choices including Dungeness crab benedict or crab cake benedict. The pancake/waffles are very good with many fruit toppings options that you can add, but some come fruity spreads creating a little too much gooey affect. Plain eggs dishes and the rosemary potatoes a little too bland and bloating but the breakfast sandwiches, BLT 's are good. Think before you order!
