Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. You’ll also find a really good hamburger and fish sandwich, along with fun snacks and small plates that pair well with cocktails, beer and wine.

Any additional charge to reach the food and beverage minimum will be applied as a "room fee." We come here often as the food is always delicious and service is excellent. The Cesar salad and wedge salad were wonderful ! We ordered pork tenderloin and I had the special, fried flounder. The flounder was really good but in my opinion, had too many “sauces” on it. The flavor of the fish was drowned out by the flavors of the sauces. We highly recommend Public House and it is our go-to restaurant for lunch and dinner.

This was my first time and it was wonderful. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. Our server, Ryishia, was especially lovely. She made excellent recommendations, checked in often, and was clearly very experienced staff. I was pleased with the vegetarian and non-alcoholic options offered in the menu. The quinoa salad is one of the best salads I’ve had in Chattanooga! The sweet potatoe pie was a true highlight. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh and delicious menu with superb staff.

Great food at a great price. My wife and I have always loved this place and try to hit it every time we are in Chattanooga. Aces! Something for everyone. Great Old Fashioned to boot.

Filet and pot roast were very good. Not impressed by the steak and fries. Fries were super greasy and NY Strip average.

So underwhelming. Service was terrible. We had a server who was in an awful mood and definitely took it out on her tables. Did not want to make suggestions, zero upselling, had nothing good to say about the menu, and we when we asked to see the dessert menu she said - are you ordering something or do you just want to see the menu. We would not go back. Too many other great restaurants to choose from in Chattanooga.

We had an early lunch and it was not crowded. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My wife had the fried chicken with fries and a small salad. The chicken was delicious, but the “skinny” fries were less than hot, but plentiful. I had a vegetable plate with beans and cornbread mix, fried cabbage with bacon, and beets with goat cheese. All were very tasty and at a reasonable portion. The cheese muffin served with our plates were cold and dry. If warmed and served with butter, they would have been better. All-in-all. We had a nice lunch in a very relaxing venue.
