Owned and operated by a Mexican American family whose best memories all include tacos, Puesto is an award-winning Mexican Artisan Kitchen & Bar providing an innovative approach to authentic Mexican flavors. Puesto has garnered national acclaim for its Mexico City-style crispy melted cheese tacos, served on handmade non-GMO, organic, maíz azul stone-ground tortillas. In addition to tacos, offerings include a selection of fresh catch ceviches, guacamoles, starters and ensaladas, courtesy of Chef/Partner Luisteen Gonzales.     The menus is somewhat limited and the food just so so. I’m not sure if they are trying to give some sort of Oaxacan vibe to the menu, but they do not do a great job. I had three different tacos, shrimp, short rib and carnita. Everything was drenched in some sort of sauce and the beef and carnitas greasy. My wife had the chicken mole which was super sweet. Elote (Mexican corn) was dry and flavorless. The prices were also extremely high for the product. Each small taco was between $9-$11. Rice and beans are also extra and they charge for chips and salsa. What I asked for some hotter salsa the waitress initially wanted to charge me for it! (She ultimately didn’t). I think they are trying to sell fancy / elevated Mexican food with elevated prices. Wasn’t thrilled with the place.

    The filet mignon tacos are the best! Service when busy is not good. Wait staff seemed bothered the we were there. No initial greeting from the person pouring water. I don’t think he would have said anything if I didn’t say hello. We ordered guacamole (very good) and when the actual server came she asked if we wanted anything else. I said we’d like to order dinner and drinks. It felt like she wanted to send us on our way.

    Food and service was great. My boyfriend told the manager it was my sisters bday and she asked what table that’s she’d let our server know but sadly she never did. :(

    It wasn’t as up to par as it usually is. Server was rushing us and not very friendly. Foood is always good but the potato taquitos were terrible for $20. No flavor. They need to bring back the way they used to make them! Tacos were good but they are overpriced!

    Wow, excellent sauces and chips. The lobster tacos are phenomenal. Pretty pricey though since we had just come from Ensenada Mexico, where they were a third of the price lol. We also had a 4% surcharge that was added before the total so I was not gonna tip on that, but we don't know why that was added.

    Booking was easy. The Chicken alpastor, shrimp, mushrooms and crab tacos were all amazing! Cadillac Margaritas by far one of the best! Service was great!

    The Taco Tuesday was outstanding, especially the healthy style wrapped in lettuce! However, keep an eye on the added "Surcharge" on the bill. When asked about it, we were told it can be removed if we like. Apparently, it's an added charge left over from the COVID era.

    The restaurant is very cold because the doors to the patio were open. It was uncomfortable unfortunately.
