The Purple Onion is a breakfast and brunch specialty restaurant that is open all the way until 9:00pm. This small corner restaurant is cozy and intimate. It's large windows make it an ideal place to visit in the mornings when the sun is first coming up, bathing the dining area in a warm orange glow. Even though The Purple Onion is primarily a breakfast restaurant, they do offer lunch items in addition to the more brunch-focused entrées. These include a chicken fried steak, burgers and several recipes of soups and salads. The specialty of the house is certainly the breakfast options, though. The breakfast menu is divided into sections that include eggs, skillets, omelets, pancakes, French toast, waffles and breakfast sandwiches. Then there are a few items that fit into an Other category that includes breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, oatmeal and raisin toast.
