There are almost three hundred year’s of stories buried in our walls.
Once the host to visiting heads of state, sea admirals, noblemen, merchants and seafarers, the Purty Kitchen, Dun Laoghaire’s oldest surviving premises, is today continuing a rich tradition in the social history of the Dublin licensed trade. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant kitchen, bar and live event loft.

    Emer ,Ryan and all the wonderful team at the Purty Kitchen made sure myself and my nephew had a really lovely night. The food was excellent-I had steak and my nephew the chicken ,and we both had the delicious pate to start. Highly recommend the Purty Kitchen for the quality of the food and the great service Fiona

    Terrace dining is a smoking option- kind of hard to eat with the level Of smoke around - not pleasant

    A really enjoyable festive Sunday lunch for 4. We all ordered different starters, mains & desserts and everyone was really pleased with their choices. An impressive choice of wines by the glass, very pleasant service and only 4mins walk from the Dart station. Will be back.

    The heating in the outdoor area is totally inadequate for December dining. Four out of six of us were frozen. The food was superb and the people serving so pleasant and helpful but the occasion (my brothers 82nd birthday) completely spoiled by the cold.

    What a pity. Lovely food well presented. A slight hiccup when red wine was opened instead of white as ordered, but quickly rectified.

    The food here is really exceptional, all starters and mains were really tasty and the portions are very generous. The deserts were outstanding too and the ambiance is gorgeous, especially at Christmas.
