There are almost three hundred year’s of stories buried in our walls.
Once the host to visiting heads of state, sea admirals, noblemen, merchants and seafarers, the Purty Kitchen, Dun Laoghaire’s oldest surviving premises, is today continuing a rich tradition in the social history of the Dublin licensed trade. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant kitchen, bar and live event loft.

The starter (garlic prawns) which is usually lovely was very mediocre. The fish of the day didn't taste fresh and was swimming in the sauce. For the fish of the day at 35 euro you will expect it to be nice and fresh. The manager came to our table to clear the plates away and she ask how it was but didn't give us a chance to reply. She said she will be back but she never came back. When we were paying our bill the waitress asked and we told her about our experience and her reply was next time I will give you a free coffee.

Really tasty food, ordered the sea bass but thought the portion was on the small side but delicious. Great to be able to have a bite to eat there pre gig. The band ‘these charming men’ were superb and the venue upstairs was brilliant for a live gig. Lots of space and good view of the band. All in all great night out which ticked all the boxes!

Blown away by how delicious the food tasted!! And the service was lovely, we came with a big group at a busy time and they were so accommodating plus helped birthday celebration. Will definitely return!

Really enjoyed the evening as always in the Purty Kitchen. Highly recommend it. Would describe myself as a regular for good reason. Have dined there with numerous friends especially over the past months and each one was impressed.

Felt rushed to leave the table and more senior service staff seemed a little curt. I appreciate it was busy.
