At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.

Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.

We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

    Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a private party paradise. You can lose yourself in magical nature and feast on its treasures as they grow around you. The fruit and vegetables are grown solely for you and your guests and harvested on the day of your celebration. The abundant flowers, specimen trees and 18th Century architecture form a heavenly backdrop. Parties at PKG are invariably colourful, chic and fun. From unique seasonal weddings with a homegrown twist, to glamorous, formal sit-down dinners, the walled garden provides for all.

                                  It was a great experience marred only by the lamb and venison being rather chewy! However it was compensated with free deserts which were fabulous. Overall we loved it and will be going back. The staff, service, ambience and well behaved dogs made up for it.

                                  We have always loved our visits to PKG. To be very honest, we were slightly apprehensive to hear that the model had changed, but in fact after trying it, thought the new model sensible. Laura was, as always, great. She has that rare sense of how to mix professionalism with a personable approach with some familiarity. We will be back, sooner rather than later.

                                  We had probably the best meal we have had in a long time, including some that were much more expensive. Service is always very friendly and efficient, we love the ethos of sustainable, mostly home grown food and the flavour combinations were perfect. Definitely will go again!

                                  Our first visit to Pythouse was an excellent experience. The atmosphere, the attentive service was first rate. The menu has so much variety it is difficult to decide what to order. The quality of the food and attention in preparation and presentation are only surpassed by the flavours achieved. The added benefit is Pythouse is dog friendly. We will be returning.

                                  This has quickly become our favourite place to eat! Every visit feels like a special occasion, and we’re always greeted with such warm, attentive service. The decor is just stunning – charming, cosy, and full of character. The seasonal menu is always a treat, with new dishes to discover every time we visit, each one crafted with such care and bursting with flavour. We also love the beautiful gardens, you can pick your own bund of flowers to take away in the spring/ summer-time! And let's not forget the wonderful little shop, offering homemade condiments and delightful gifts – it’s the perfect place to pick up something special. I can’t recommend it highly enough – an all-around gem!

                                  Amazing as ever. This place just keeps getting better and better. Can’t fault the service, all the staff are just wonderful and are an essential part of the Pythouse experience. Thank you Laura#1, Laura #2 and Natalie, Without them it just wouldn’t be the same. Thank you also to Darren and his team in the kitchen, who also went the extra mile to make the meal accessible to all as someone on the table has an intolerance. Not to mention how delicious all the food was. We have booked already to return.
