Here’s a possible review based on your experience:
I chose Quality Meats to celebrate my son’s birthday, as we’re big fans of the Quality Branded restaurants. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations, and for a $700 bill for 2 adults and 2 kids, it was a major letdown.
Food Rundown:
•Crab Cakes: Just OK. Tasted like they were made with canned crab meat, which was disappointing.
•Tomato Salad: The tomatoes were fresh, but the dish was ruined by oil-drenched onion rings—didn’t make sense and didn’t work.
•West Coast Oysters: Excellent. The one highlight of the meal.
•Grilled Bacon: Not good at all. It lacked flavor and texture.
•Porterhouse meatball: Honestly no better than a pizzeria’s meatball.
•Lobster Toast (Special): At $45, this was very disappointing. The lobster was fine, but the bread wasn’t toasted—it was soaked in cream. How can you call that toast?
•NY Strip & Filet Mignon: Ordered medium well for the kids, but both came out medium. For a steakhouse, this is unacceptable.
•Gnocchi and Cheese: Just OK.
•Brussels Sprouts: Burnt beyond recognition. It was shocking this even made it out of the kitchen.
Even the coffees were bad but the chocolate cake was great.
The one bright spot of the evening was our server, Edgar. He was attentive and professional, and we left a 25% tip because of his service. However, even great service couldn’t save the night.
As much as I love Quality Branded restaurants, this one just isn’t up to par. For $700, the experience should’ve been exceptional, and it was anything but. We won’t be returning anytime soon.
