Restaurant Review:
Atmosphere: 10/10
From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was spot-on. Warm, inviting, and stylish, with the right balance of energy without feeling rushed. I had a fantastic mocktail- Honey Ginny. So good!
Bread:
The bread served at the start was absolutely delicious. Soft on the inside, with a herb and salt crust on the outside — a simple yet perfect way to begin the meal.
Service:
Quick and attentive. The staff made sure everything was seamless without hovering, and we didn’t have to wait long for our dishes. Great pacing throughout the evening.
Filet Mignon:
The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, with the right amount of tenderness. However, it was unfortunately quite bland. Despite the excellent preparation, the steak lacked the seasoning or flavor depth that would have made it memorable.
Hanger Steak with Cherries:
The hanger steak, while cooked well, had a peculiar balance. The cherries added an unexpected sweetness, but they were a bit overpowering and didn’t complement the steak as well as I had hoped. The charred exterior added a smoky note, but it leaned too heavily into the burnt side, overshadowing the meat itself.
Best Part of the Meal:
Without a doubt, the complimentary birthday dessert was the highlight. A thoughtful touch that added a personal touch and sweet ending to an otherwise good meal. Also, the corn crème brûlée was delicious. But it ate more like a dessert than a savory side dish.
Final Thoughts:
While the atmosphere and service were exceptional, some of the main dishes left a bit to be desired in terms of flavor. I’d return for the vibe and the bread, but might explore other options on the menu next time.
