The place has potential to be a really lovely spot; however, it has a series of major flaws. It’s terribly cramped. It’s clear they are trying to get as many tables in as possible, which is to be expected; however, they could try and be a little more subtle about it. Our waiter effectively hounded us out the door. Unsurprisingly, as a result, you don’t feel particularly welcome.
The price! Wow! I mean the food is ok. Some items such as the focaccia are delicious but the portions are just laughable. We ordered a scallop pasta dish for £24. Ok scallops are expensive fine, but give me a scallop! They served some tiny diced scallops on a mound of pitifully small pasta. In all honesty that probably wasn’t even the worst value for money dish. Steer clear of the tomato dish, that is truly and spectacularly poor value.
The wine is very good. My advice would be go in the middle of the day for a quiet glass of wine and some focaccia. Unless you fancy being fleeced, don’t in any circumstances go for dinner. You will leave feeling hungry and disappointed.
