Visited on a Sunday. Food ok, service terrible. No menus, no prices! Won’t be going back. Having never visited this restaurant before, we booked on a recommendation from someone who had. I took my 80 year old mother in law for Sunday lunch. On arrival I was shown my table which had high bar stool type chairs and a high table. When I apologised and said my MIL would be unable to sit there, the response was “ you should have stated that when you booked as I’ve already done the seating plan” . Given the restaurant was very empty there were plenty of tables to re- sit us. Begrudgingly they did. We were asked what we wanted to drink but when I asked if there was a drinks menu the response was simply no unless you want wine. The waitress seemed annoyed when I asked her to then list the drinks available but we had no idea what the cost would be. I had no idea that Sunday lunch was just carvery so this should be more obvious plus there should be menus showing the meat on offer plus how much it costs. The food itself was ok, the meat was lovely and we had generous portions but plates were cold and food went cold quickly. We were not offered desserts so I have no idea if they even do desserts. We were not brought a bill even though we sat waiting and eventually paid at the bar. They charged me an adult price for my young son. Again no prices so how are you supposed to know what the difference is? Overall they give off the impression of being a nice place to eat but the rudeness of the staff means I won’t be going back.
