When we arrived we drove around and there is absolutely NO street parking, so don’t bet on that. We ended up getting valet. We waited in line in valet for 20 minutes before someone came to speak with us, and there were only 2 cars in front of us. So the valet could have been better, but at only $15 it’s not a bad price. When we got inside it was very, very busy. Beautiful and picture areas all over. It took us awhile to find the restaurant from inside the hotel there’s one sign but once you go down the hall you see 3 doors and the sign for the restaurant was hard to read we didn’t even register it was the restaurant. We ended up asking for directions and found the restaurant. (There is a separate entrance for the restaurant from the outside I recommend using instead of going in through the hotel). Once we got checked in we got our table pretty fast, service was very fast and our server explained the menu to us. We ordered the guacamole and queso, DELICIOUS. We also ordered the chicken tacos, it came with two small tacos my husband and I each had one, and they were also delicious. Our entree was the Tasajo, at $95 a plate my husband and I split it and we ate it all but we’re completely full after the food we got earlier. It was one of the best things I have eaten in years. Seriously. Not only did the food come out insanely fast, but it was completely worth the high price. There was a grilled avocado with salsa in the middle, never had that before but I am drooling thinking about it. I’m usually a try a restaurant once and try another person, there’s so many in San Diego and not enough time to try them all. But we will definitely be frequent fliers here. The restaurants ambiance was like something out of booktok. Romantic and moody! When we were done with our food we went back into the hotel to take photos but the one area I wanted to go to was blocked off so I assume it’s only open some times for photos? We waited about 10-15 minutes for valet to get our car.
