Rampoldi, located near Lincoln Center, Central Park and Columbus Circle, under the guidance of Michelin-starred Chef Antonio Salvatore, partner of MC Hospitality Group has opened their first New York location, offering same feel and menu as its original location in Monaco.
Opened in 1946 in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, nowadays Rampoldi is an institution and a symbol of Monte Carlo. Over the years it became a place where local and international celebrities meet, so the restaurant decided to widen its brand overseas in the city of the American dream, New York.
Label of luxury, class, and sophistication all over the world, Rampoldi spreads the Monegasque way of life and the peaceful elegance of the Côte d’Azur: the inheritance of what embodies the soul of Monte Carlo from more than seven decades opens to future and new challenges.

Most importantly, we are gluten free and they were able to accommodate us in sublime fashion. The food was extraordinary and the waiter was lovely. He made some spectacular suggestions. The greatest disappointment, however, was the timing of everything. There were 2 of us and the restaurant was not very crowded so these subtle mistakes were a bit frustrating. One of us ordered a glass of wine when we sat down. It was not served until well into the appetizer. By that time, we didn’t consider a second glass. The GF bread also didn’t come until after a reminder which could be understood- it is an exception- but bread was delivered to other tables moments after being seated. One of us had the duck and the other the scallops and both were perfection. The were impeccably served. Desert - the Grand Marnier soufflé was wonderful, as was the yogurt and lavender ice cream. Again, however, the accompanying tea and cappuccino did not come absent a reminder at the end of desert. It should have come while we were waiting on the soufflé. Overall, the restaurant was wonderful. But the devil is in the details. Had the waiter been anything but absolutely lovely, I might have felt very differently.

Excellent gourmet dining fit for a special occasion, pre Lincoln Center, or just a wonderful night out with a special date. Excellent attentive service and wonderfully prepared dishes presented in beautiful display and deliciously prepared. The steak tartare prepared tableside was a special surprise and well worth it.

Very nice setting. The only problem is that they bring the food very fast. We had to slow them down. E.g they brought the appetizers before the rings, bread and butter. We told them to slow down since we are not going to a show. Also they grab the plates even before you finish eating.

We had something at Lincoln Center and decided to give Rampoldi a try. What a pleasant surprise from the decor to service to food it just impressed us. The fixed price menu had interesting choices and the food was first rate. We will go back again and not just because we are in the neighborhood.

Rampoldi should be a synonym for hospitality, Monaguesque-style. The food, its presentation, and the service are wonderful!

Perfect experience. Great atmosphere, great food, excellent service. Not cheap…but reasonable. What more can you ask for? We visited on a Monday night pre-opera and were surprised it wasn’t jam packed based on how much we liked it.
