Immersed in the rolling hills and truffle-scented air of Northern Italy, he discovered the secrets of timeless Italian cuisine. This Valentine’s Day, he invites you to let your love story unfold over a four-course journey that celebrates the harmonious fusion of Peruvian soul and Italian passion. Details of the evening's menu are coming together and will be shared soon! We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. The seating time for this experience is two hours, and all tables that evening must order this experience, our à la carte menu is not available.

    Everything we ordered and we ordered everything on the sharing plate menu other than the octopus and salad, was great. We also had the ceviche, arroz con comerones which were very good. We finished with flan and almond cake both of which were of high quality. May I add that the service and presentation were of the highest quality and my party of four all agreed we shall return to Raphaels

    Service was lovely and we really enjoyed the pisco sours to start. Squid, octopus, steak skewers, shrimp were all hits. The cauvas (cold mashed potato dish) was not my favourite but interesting flavours. Fig cake for dessert was amazing, flan was good too with orange. Nice ambience but a bit chilly inside! Overall a very nice experience.

    The food was very good. Thoughtfully prepared, delicious taste. For some dishes, a little overpriced but not wildly. The service was quite atrocious. Very inattentive highly transactional service, seemingly never there when required. Long delays on contacts, 25 mins to drinks, empty water glasses, etc. It is a beautiful space, but they need better ventilation. We were only there for 90 mins max and we smelled as though we worked in the kitchen.

    Food --- Since it was our first time at Raphael's, the server recommended sharing the dishes we ordered. If you're into sharing your food, I would echo that suggestion. We shared a small plate (the duck), the cheviche (make sure you get a bit of sweet potato with every bite), and the pork. The food was amazing. Every last bite. You could tell that each dish was thoughtfully designed and expertly executed. My partner is allergic to both gluten and dairy, but there was only three dishes that either weren't already free of those elements, or that couldn't easily be made into safe version. Desserts weren't an option for him, but he looked on as I swooned over the Beso de Moza. I should mention that we unexpectedly received an amuse bouche and petit fours. Atmosphere and hospitality --- We went on a Sunday evening and were sat on the bar side. There were enough patrons to make the place seem alive, and the music provided complimentary ambiance while allowing for conversation at a normal speaking volume. The staff were appropriately attentive, and each one that stopped by our table seemed to genuinely care about our experience and enjoyment. Additionally, when one of the servers realized my partner couldn't have the petit fours, he gave him a complimentary sipper of quality tequila as a substitute. I was very happy to eat a double portion of the petit fours. We already have plans to return.

    Great food, drinks, service, and vibe. As a frequent visitor, it just never disappoints. One of the most consistently good, seemingly underrated spots in the city.

    I was a little disappointed I mentioned it was for my husband birthday dinner and the waiter promised a little surprise at the end, we didn’t get anything I felt ignored on that. The food is undeniably delicious but not worth the prices. It is expensive compared to the offer, portion are small and items are basic (potatoes, beef, sprouts) etc. Services is wonderful.

    Beautiful restaurant, it was perfect for the special occasion we were celebrating. The food was incredible and gorgeous. Our server was fantastic and flawlessly accommodated a number of allergies at the table. I would go back tomorrow to try the few things our table did not end up ordering. Will absolutely be recommending to anyone looking for a special place for dinner/ drinks. A big Thank You to the entire team.

    I have eaten at Rafael’s on 4 occasions. Each one has been a most satisfying experience. Everything I have eaten has been exquisitely prepared and presented. The servers are always knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. And the little delicacies given at the beginning end of each meal are a lovely touch. Rafael’s is a gem in Ottawa.

    One of our favour spots to eat in Ottawa. Service amazing with knowledgeable and friendly yet professional service. Such a cold night that we elected not to sit near the windows as it was chilly there. Server very responsive to helping us move. The server helped us in portion decisions so he sure to ask for help. Every dish was amazing BUT the Maui Maui was beyond incredible!!! BEYOND! WOW!!! WE WILL BE BACK SOON!
