Red House is owned and operated by Chef Dan McCowan who received Ontario hostelry institute award, is the Diamond winner of Favorite Local Chef and chosen for Record Reader's Choice in 2016. The restaurant is popular for its New Canadian fare and handcrafted cocktails among its patrons. It has a red brick structure and features an intimate setting with artistic paintings on all of its walls, dark wooden furniture and stylish lamps all over. The waiting staff is professional and responsive, and helps customers decide the right dish. Red House has several menus, such as lunch, dinner, brunch, dessert, kids, wine, beer & cocktail and digestif & spirits. Customers can enjoy eating their food in open air at the restaurant's outdoor seating area. They can also make use of free Wi-Fi facility and online reservation service. Red House is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The service was fantastic, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was good quality and portion sizes were generous. The chef was really creative and had some very interesting dishes on the menu. All local beers on tap, and they even made their own ice-cream! A perfect date night.

One of our favourite go to places to dine in just behind Uptown Waterloo. Even with LRT construction and lack of parking, Red House is one of our favourites for sure!!!

My sister and I went for dinner on a Friday night and the whole experience was great. Very attentive and friendly service. She had the duck which was delicious, told server she has celiac and cannot eat dairy and they accommodated her needs easily. We had calamari as an entree and I had the tuna tacos. Both were delicious. We had the "William" and the sangria to drink, also lovely. I've been here a few times and had a great experience each time. One of my favourites in the city. Great food, service, ambiance and vibe.
