This Red Lobster used to be good, & the amount of people there on a Friday & Saturday night reflected Red Lobster's dedication to quality. On 3/1, my family went to this location for my wife's birthday dinner. The parking lot was empty, & the restaurant had maybe 15 tables with patrons. We sat down and were greeted quickly. Our drink order came quickly, but that is where the expediency stopped. We ordered (2) "Shrimp Your Way" dinners & (2) hamburgers w/ fries.
It took 1hr & 15 minutes to get our food. When the food came out, the buns were burned, & it looked like someone angrily threw the hamburger on the plate, as the bun was squished & had holes from someone's fingers. The server was nice & apologized for the long wait & the condition of the food. They toasted new buns and brought them to the table for us to transfer the meat to the new buns.
Once the kids had their burgers (no fries yet), it took another 10 minutes for our shrimp dinners to get to the table & the kid's fries. The shrimp was slightly warm & the fries were cold. The taste of the food was below mediocre. We could have gone to Harbon Inn Seafood & received better food.
The server did a fine job, but continually complained about the GM on duty, and said that the GM would come to our table to talk to us. At this point, I didn't ask for a manager, but they were coming over to talk, which shows they knew there was a problem. The manager came over and said she would give us a discount for the long wait. She was sorry about the wait, & complained about the really busy night. Again, there were maybe 15 tables occupied.
We received the bill, and there was a discount labeled "10% veteran discount". I didn't argue. I just paid the bill, left 20% tip, & left the restaurant. Seriously...10%?!? Needless to say, we will never go back to this location.
