Dining at RED O is an experience like no other that offers a unique combination of Prime Steak and Seafood with Rick Bayless’ signature Mexican inspired influences. With sustainably sourced and local ingredients, RED O creates flavorful dishes true to the authentic flavors of Mexico. RED O’s team of friendly employees creates a welcoming atmosphere that parallels the luxury resort interior of the restaurant. RED O also features an impressive bar and lounge where you’ll find specialty cocktails, an extensive tequila list and an award winning wine list. The bar also offers Happy Hour from 3-6 p.m. daily and Late Night Happy Hour from 10-12am Tuesday-Saturday.

    We got the Tablita surf and turf for our Valentine’s Day dinner. It was a great portion for us two and the meat was tender, but I think next time we’d each order an entree rather than something to share. Noise level wasn’t loud because we were in the enclosed patio. Service was wonderful, had the sweetest waiters which definitely made the dinner more welcoming.

    This place used to be a very high class joint. Looks like since Mastros opened across from them, their quality has gone down tremendously. Also the hostess and seating process is absolutely a joke and disaster.

    great place, great food, good service, could of been a bit faster but still overall great waitors and servers, I understand valentines day is a busy night so nothing will be fast but yea thats it. But love the waitors and love the food!

    By far this is one of the restaurants with the best service I have ever been to, From the time you come inside and until you leave the service is 5 stars, I loved the attention to detail and the staff goes above and beyond to guarantee satisfaction, The food was really good although I prefer a spicier cuisine but that's just my personal preference. I would definitely recommend anyone to come and try Red O Taste of mexico.

    Frankly, we were disappointed. We are from Chicago and big fans of Rick Bayless. We come to Newport Coast for a week in Winter and have dined at Red O for Valentines dinner 4 or 5 times in the past six? years. I made the reservations last year. We waited to be seated even though we had reservations and were on time. The staff seemed rushed and after taking our drink orders suggested we get our dinner order in quickly as the kitchen was already 90 minutes behind. We were also told that they would be serving over 900 guests this night. We felt rushed, the food was good but not as good as we remembered from previous nights and the whole dining experience was disappointing.
