This tiny gem of a restaurant is nestled in one of Edmonton's oldest neighborhoods. The focus is on creative and eclectic cuisine, serving serious food in a casual atmosphere. The Red Ox Inn, a collaborative effort led by Andrea and Frank Olson, is proud of its relationship with loyal patrons, staff, and local producers. The wine list continues to grow in order to keep up with daily specials and a finely tuned menu. The Red Ox Inn is the perfect choice for a quiet dinner, a small gathering of friends, or even a private party.

                          From the first taste of our first course until the last bite of our desert course, we were hooked. The whole meal was outstanding. The Red Ox Inn did not disappoint. We will be back.

                          Heard so many good things, was excited to try it out for my birthday and my food was underwhelming and burnt. My husbands was fine. The waitress never came over and asked how our food was, made us feel not welcome and almost rude. So we didn’t even have dessert, or wine since i didn’t want to spend any more money there. Will not ever go back or recommend.

                          Best beef tartare for a long time. Knife chopped not grounded, with délicate inclusion of porchicini, chives and seasonings. Duck breast with crispy skin, extra tender and prepared with great respect for the genuine taste of the ingredients. Friendly casual service and original wine list. Been there a couple of times, never been disappointed.

                          I took my husband for his birthday and we had an excellent time. The food was fantastic and our server was very nice. The only reason I gave the ambience section 4 stars is due to loud road work being done outside the restaurant. This was in no way the restaurants fault. We will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to many friends.

                          Small dinning area, very peaceful setting. Service was great and they take the time to explain/ answer any questions about what each item on the menu is made with. Wine list but no drink menu was interesting. I would suggest to offer a drink menu for those who don't enjoy wine. Dessert was great and even had a candle for the birthday boy! Will be back.
