Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

Now serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

12oz filet was delicious. The wife ordered the 8oz filet and it came out tender enough to cut with a fork. Service was impeccable. We will be back

Awesome restaurant, we had a reservation at 8pm and went an hour early to sit at the bar and have a drink. We were able to find two seats together without issues. Hostess even offered to sit us early if we wished. Once we made our way to the dining room we were greeted by a very nice waitress who went above and beyond to make our experience awesome. Everything we ate was amazing. Will go back, best steakhouse in Louisville.

Thomas was our server and made our dining experience truly amazing. He timed every part of our evening out perfectly! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and we cannot wait to go again! We are so happy we decided on Repeal for our special occasion.

We were excited to give Repeal a try during our visit to Louisville, especially after hearing such great reviews. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the service was excellent, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. While the Tuna Tartare and my lobster entrée were both delicious, the steak was a bit under-seasoned, leaving my husband missing Ruby’s. My pasta was also slightly overcooked. That said, the menu offers some exciting options, and I’d be interested in trying more in the future. Overall, while it didn’t quite match our Ruby’s experience, we appreciated the effort and ambiance.
