Hello,
I made a booking for four people yesterday at 12:15pm. When I made the booking I kindly explained I was bringing two very older ladies aged 93 & 94. I explained how they had walkers and it was a very special day and could you please accommodate us…. I understood you received my booking and I had an expectation you would deliver a special day.
I confirmed by text message which you sent that we were coming.
We arrived and the staff said there was no booking. They said oh our systems are not working. No table set up ready for two old ladies that had walked a long distance. I had to help move tables. I couldn’t understand very well what the waitress was saying but after some time of sitting and waiting and watching the staff stand around talking and ignoring us it dorned on me I had to go to the bar to order.
The food was nice thank you.
I had to ask for more napkins and a bowl to wash their fingers as they ordered the sticky Korean chicken. They had to ask the man there as it wasn’t common sense to assist these older ladies. It seemed a big deal to ask for more napkins and water!
To be honest I’m very disappointed in the service, booking and the price we paid we had paper napkins. If it wasn’t for the view your restaurant would not receive any recommendations. I’m sorry to be blunt and I’m not being nasty. Please this is factually my disappointment. This was a very special day and sadly it wasn’t anything as I expected.
I sent an email and no one has bothered to contact me. Even more poor service to be honest.
I had accidentally sent this originally to Oaks Sunshine and they immediately made contact with to try and sort the poor day. The lady there was very professional and helpful it was a shame she wasn’t working in Cairns.
