Artfully prepared with the ocean’s freshest delicacies, each course in Tokiwa’s luxury Sushi Omakase is completely entrusted to the chef with no ordering on the part of the diner, allowing guests to fully relax knowing that they are taken care of by the culinary expert.                                                         Seems like the staff was more interested to get customers out rather than giving actual service. They were so keen to remove food trays that they actually removed it before we were finished eating! Yet, if you needed more tea or water, it took ages! Food quality was good but not for these prices and this sort of service! I guess you got to be Japanese to be treated decent.

                                                        Had the Teppanyaki experience at Suntory in Honolulu on NYE and everything, including the Wagyu, was delicious. It’s not cheap, but in line with what you expect for the level of the food and the restaurant on Waikiki Beach. I did feel the top-end Suntory whiskeys were over-priced compared to other places I’ve had them.

                                                        This is one of the best sushi omakases I've ever had. Ever. Strongly recommended. I will be back again and again. Looking at their reservation availability, this place is maybe flying under the local gourmand radar for now. But I have a feeling not for long. I recommend getting the $250 Tokiwa dinner omakase, which is what I had, and for ala carte options at the end of the meal, choose chef's choice. You may get a new sushi (off menu) or two like I did! (Chef Kanto chose a cured salmon with ginger as first sushi and wagyu as second sushi - both were delicious)

                                                        Over-priced. Disappointed. Not fun. Waste of money. We did Tepenyaki. Chef was boring, food was average and sparse. Ambience awful. Would not recommend. Felt like a tourist trap.
